Trying to detox from “dumb” social media tbh—It’s not easy!
TV/Cinema
Nearly done with F1: Drive to Survive and Vinland Saga.
My middle child told me he wanted to be a racecar driver, (after watching the race portions) when he grows up. GULP. “Okay bud!”
Crime 101–I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this film. The screenplay truly was phenomenal.
Alone, the survival docu-competition challenge show. The ending surprised me mostly due to the mindset shifts that changed among place holders 2 & 3.
Culture
Amok & Alex’s allure interview. It’s living rent free in my head. Commenters are laughing about Anok’s humor but I think she’s observing and genuinely interacting ; I don’t get the sense that there’s effort of humor even if it is dry.
Bad Bunny’s halftime show was excellent. Solid 8.75-9/10 I don’t have much to add to the plethora of positive critiques.
Why is no one talking about the Olympics?!
More articulated thoughts on the Epstein files coming soon…It’s grotesque. There’s still a lot of good, but it’s daaark outside. Like…I knew how evil people could be but all I have to say is that there will be justice…eventually.
Untrimmed Fringe:
Birds- “put a bird on it!” Because I look up and see predatory birds on the regular. It’s equally cool and terrifying. One even landed on my property!
(I can’t find the photo of the bird on my property, so here’s one at work)
“Obtuse” as an insult; dense & personal favorite, imp —Bring back creative disses. (Keep on, Gen z & alpha )
If you’re wondering—yes these posts are probably a week or two behind the real pace of life because I batch content.
